How much luggage fits, and what if we have more?

A sedan takes two people and two large cases comfortably, and starts to argue at three. An SUV handles four people with a case each, or two people who have been travelling for a month. A Sprinter takes a group and everything they brought without anyone holding a bag on their knees.

The honest failure here is the one nobody plans for: four adults and six cases arriving at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in a car meant for two. There is no fixing that at the kerb, which is why the booking asks how many of you there are and how many bags before the car is chosen rather than after.

Golf clubs, ski bags, a stroller, a cello. Say so when you book and the right car is sent. It is a five second question that prevents the only genuinely unrecoverable mistake in this business.
