What is Uber Elite, and is there an alternative in Florida?

Uber's March 12, 2026 announcement said Uber Elite was invite-only in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with New York City next (Uber Technologies, 2026). Uber's Elite page now says only that it is available in select locations, so check the Uber app for the city you are in (Uber Technologies, n.d.).

Uber describes Elite as reservation-only, with commercially licensed chauffeurs, luxury vehicles under three years old, stated waiting allowances and 24/7 phone support (Uber Technologies, n.d., 2026). That is a fair description of what a chauffeur service should be.

Quo offers the same kind of service across Florida, in Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Wellington, Naples, Key West, Orlando and Tampa. Waiting is included for 15 minutes at a normal pickup and 60 minutes after your flight lands, with delays from a late flight not billed as waiting. The fare is agreed before the car moves, a person on the desk confirms each booking, and you can ask for the chauffeur who drove you last time.
