What is the best way to get from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World?

How we source facts

From Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Walt Disney World is about 20 miles by road. It is a short run, and the part that costs people time is not the drive: it is the wait for bags, the wait for a ride and the queue for a shuttle, usually with tired children and a late flight.

Tell the desk which resort hotel, or which park, you are going to, not just "Disney". The Walt Disney World area is large and the right drop-off is different for a resort, a park gate and a hotel outside the property. If you are travelling with children, ask about a car seat when you book (see the answer on car seats), and say how many cases you have, because a family's luggage decides the vehicle more than the headcount does.

Give the desk your flight number and the pickup is tracked from the aircraft, so a delayed arrival moves the pickup instead of cancelling it. The captain meets you inside the terminal, and the same captain is your ride back for the flight home if you book both ends together.

An Executive Sedan holds 2; a Luxury SUV holds 5; an Executive Sprinter holds 12. A larger party is better in one Sprinter than in two cars, and a very large one is several cars arriving together.

Booked ahead, it is one captain and one fare agreed before the car moves. The fare beside this page is for 20 miles; the fare for your trip is set when the exact addresses are routed, and you see it before you book.
