Can I get a car seat?

Ask when you book and give each child's age and weight. Where we supply a seat, it is in the car before pickup. Our captains are not certified child passenger safety technicians, so please check the installation yourself before setting off, or bring and install your own. The parent or guardian is responsible for a child's restraint.

Florida's child-restraint law covers children aged five or younger. From birth to three the child must be in a separate carrier or the vehicle maker's integrated child seat; at four and five a booster seat is also allowed. The same law says the requirement does not apply to a chauffeur-driven taxi, limousine, sedan or van hired and used to carry people for compensation (Fla. Stat. § 316.613, 2026). That is why a hired car may arrive without a seat. It is what the law requires, not a statement about what is safest for a small child, so ask for one when you book and give each child's age and weight.

Travelling with a nanny, a grandparent or a second family car following, mention that too. It changes which vehicle is sent more than the number of passengers does.
