How do you get from Fort Lauderdale airport to the Diplomat and the Hard Rock in Hollywood?
The Diplomat's own FAQ puts it about 9 miles from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and 21 from Miami International; the Seminole Hard Rock, 1 Seminole Way, offers free garage parking and taxis at its valet entrance. A private car meets the flight and drops you at either door.
Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, 3555 South Ocean Drive, says it is approximately 9 miles from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International and 21 from Miami International. Its FAQ prints valet as the only parking, in a garage with a maximum clearance of 6 feet 8 inches, with check-in at 4 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m., and names no airport shuttle (Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, n.d.).
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, 1 Seminole Way, prints free covered self-parking in three garages off State Road 7 and valet at a charge, says taxis wait around the clock at the valet entrance, and says it works with Corporate Coaches for shuttle needs through the concierge (Seminole Hard Rock, n.d.).
What the car does: the captain meets you at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood where the airport's rules allow, watches the flight, and drops you at the resort's entrance, with waiting after landing included for 60 minutes. The fare is agreed before the car moves. The same booking carries the way back, or the run to Port Everglades on the morning a cruise begins.
Neither resort's page states how long the drive from the airport takes or which entrance the car should use, and valet rates change without notice, so the desk confirms the door with the bell desk the day before you arrive.
