Which terminal does Holland America Line use in Florida, and where does the car drop you?
Holland America's own port pages list three Port Everglades terminals, 19, 21 and 26 on Eller Drive, and two at PortMiami, D and E on N. Cruise Blvd., without saying which its ships use; neither port's page assigns the line a terminal, and its own page says to check in online 72 hours before sailing (Holland America Line, n.d.).
At Port Everglades: Port Everglades's own page assigns Holland America Line no terminal: it names no line for the terminals the line describes (Port Everglades, n.d.). Holland America's Fort Lauderdale port page says there are three cruise terminals in Fort Lauderdale and lists Terminal 26 at 2026 Eller Dr., Terminal 19 at 2019 Eller Dr. and Terminal 21 at 2021 Eller Dr., Hollywood, without saying which its ships use. It says parking is in the Palm garage with rates on the garage's site, that there is no luggage storage at the pier, that Uber, Lyft and taxis are readily available, and that local buses stop at the Northport section on SE 17th St. (Holland America Line, n.d.).
At PortMiami: PortMiami's own page assigns Holland America Line no terminal: it names no line for the terminals the line describes (PortMiami, n.d.). Its Miami port page says there are two cruise terminals in Miami and lists Terminal D at 1435 N. Cruise Blvd. and Terminal E at 1265 N. Cruise Blvd., the two the port's own page assigns to Carnival. It says PortMiami has parking for each terminal on the north and south sides of the port, that there is no luggage storage at the pier, and that Uber, Lyft and taxis are readily available. (Holland America Line, n.d.).
Holland America's Know Before You Go page asks guests to complete online check-in 72 hours before the sail date, says the line must have the needed information at least 90 minutes before departure, and warns that guests who wait to check in at the terminal risk being unable to sail. It says luggage tags are near the entrance to the pier area where luggage is checked in. (Holland America Line, n.d.).
Not on the pages I read: which terminal its ships use at either port; a boarding time; porters, parking rates or a drop-off point. A terminal is the cruise line's to change, and a port's page and a line's page do not always agree on a street name or a rate, so the desk checks your cruise documents against both the day before the car is sent.
What the car does: give the desk the ship, the sailing date and the flight, and the car is sent to the terminal address your documents name, planned against the line's own check-in deadline rather than the drive. The fare is agreed before the car moves, the captain watches the flight, and the pickup after the cruise is at the same terminal.
Holland America Line's Florida ports, as the ports assign them
| Port | Terminal, per the port | Address, per the port |
|---|---|---|
| Port Everglades | No line named by the port | 8 terminals listed; your documents name yours |
| PortMiami | No line named by the port | 10 terminals listed; your documents name yours |
The terminal column is the port's own assignment, not the line's; what the line itself says about each port is in the text above, read November 2, 2026. A port that names no line for a terminal is shown as such, and your cruise documents win over this table.
