How far is MIA from South Beach, Brickell and the rest of Miami?

How we source facts

MIA is about 15 miles from South Beach, 13 miles from Brickell, 12 miles from Downtown Miami, 9 miles from Wynwood by road, with the full list of 16 places in the table below, measured by OpenStreetMap routing on 2026-11-02 and rounded to the mile (OpenStreetMap contributors, 2026).

The miles are road distance from the airport to the centre of each place, so a hotel at the far end of a neighbourhood adds a mile or two and the exact fare is set when your addresses are routed. Each row carries the sedan transfer fare that distance starts at, from the same function that charges a booking, with the 20% service charge included.

No drive times are published here, because they are not a fact: the same 15-mile run is one time at six in the morning and another at six in the evening, and a promised number would be wrong on the day it mattered. Give the desk the flight number and the address, and the pickup is planned against the flight, with waiting after landing included.

For where the car meets you at MIA, see the pickup page; for the airport's own rules on taxis and ride apps, the airport taxis page.

Miles are road distance from the airport to the centre of each place, by OpenStreetMap geocoding and OSRM routing, computed 2026-11-02 and rounded to the mile; the fare is the sedan starting fare for that distance from the same function that charges a booking, with the 20% service charge included. The exact fare is set when your addresses are routed, and you see it before you book. No drive times are published: they change with the hour and the day.
