Which terminal does Royal Caribbean International use in Florida, and where does the car drop you?
Royal Caribbean's own directions pages give the terminal addresses at all four Florida ports: at PortMiami, where the port assigns it Terminal A, 2000 N. Cruise Blvd., it lists Terminals A, AA and E and says your documents name yours; at Port Everglades, Port Canaveral and Tampa it gives addresses and no assignment (Royal Caribbean International, n.d.; PortMiami, n.d.).
At PortMiami: PortMiami's own page assigns Royal Caribbean International Terminal A at 2000 N. Cruise Blvd. and Terminal G at 909 N. Cruise Blvd.; the port's page says it is expected to open in 2027. (PortMiami, n.d.). Royal Caribbean's Miami directions page gives PortMiami's address as 1015 N. America Way and lists three terminals for the group's ships: Terminal A at 2000 N Cruise Blvd, Terminal AA, which it calls the MSC terminal, at 2200 N Cruise Blvd, and Terminal E at 1265 N Cruise Blvd. It tells guests to check their cruise documents for the terminal before arriving and to follow the signage at the port, because the terminal may change, and refers parking questions to PortMiami's own site. (Royal Caribbean International, n.d.).
At Port Everglades: Port Everglades's own page assigns Royal Caribbean International no terminal: it names no line for the terminals the line describes (Port Everglades, n.d.). Its Fort Lauderdale directions page gives Port Everglades as 1850 Eller Drive and names no terminal, referring to the ship's designated pier terminal. It says checked luggage is dropped with the porters and a cruise line representative at the pier terminal before the car goes on to the garage for that terminal, and prints parking at $20 a day for regular vehicles and $25 for oversized ones, subject to change by the port authority. It tells guests to expect delays for security and immigration when arriving at the pier. (Royal Caribbean International, n.d.).
At Port Canaveral: Port Canaveral's own page assigns Royal Caribbean International no terminal: it names no line for the terminals the line describes (Port Canaveral, n.d.). Its Port Canaveral directions page gives the port as 445 Challenger Road and lists Cruise Terminal 1 at 9050 Discovery Road, Cruise Terminal 5 at 9245 Charles M Rowland Dr and Cruise Terminal 6 at 9241 Charles M Rowland Dr. It says to follow the signage through the port to the ship's terminal assignment and refers parking questions to the port's site. (Royal Caribbean International, n.d.).
At Port Tampa Bay: Port Tampa Bay's own page assigns Royal Caribbean International no terminal: it names no line for the terminals the line describes (Port Tampa Bay, n.d.). Its Tampa directions page lists Terminal 2 at 651 Channelside Drive and Terminal 3 at 815 Channelside Drive and tells guests to verify the terminal against their itinerary; if the pier assignment changes at the last minute, signage shows the terminal. It names a garage at 810 Channelside Drive, across the street from Terminal 3, at approximately $15 a day, paid on entry by cash or card. (Royal Caribbean International, n.d.).
Royal Caribbean's check-in page says guests must be checked in no later than 90 minutes before the scheduled sailing time and that guests arriving late are not permitted to sail. Check-in in its app runs until 8 a.m. on the morning of sailing, and on its website up to 48 hours before; check-in sets a scheduled arrival time at the terminal, and port operating hours vary by location. (Royal Caribbean International, n.d.).
Not on the pages I read: a Florida-specific arrival window; a passenger drop-off, ride-share, taxi or private-car point at any of the four ports; which Port Everglades terminal its ships use. A terminal is the cruise line's to change, and a port's page and a line's page do not always agree on a street name or a rate, so the desk checks your cruise documents against both the day before the car is sent.
What the car does: give the desk the ship, the sailing date and the flight, and the car is sent to the terminal address your documents name, planned against the line's own check-in deadline rather than the drive. The fare is agreed before the car moves, the captain watches the flight, and the pickup after the cruise is at the same terminal.
Royal Caribbean International's Florida ports, as the ports assign them
| Port | Terminal, per the port | Address, per the port |
|---|---|---|
| PortMiami | Cruise Terminal A, Cruise Terminal G | 2000 N. Cruise Blvd.; 909 N. Cruise Blvd. |
| Port Everglades | No line named by the port | 8 terminals listed; your documents name yours |
| Port Canaveral | No line named by the port | 7 terminals listed; your documents name yours |
| Port Tampa Bay | No line named by the port | 3 terminals listed; your documents name yours |
The terminal column is the port's own assignment, not the line's; what the line itself says about each port is in the text above, read November 2, 2026. A port that names no line for a terminal is shown as such, and your cruise documents win over this table.
